Mystery Babylon
My journey

I'm hot on the trail of Mystery Babylon!

But first let me tell you about my conversion to Jesus. I came to Christ at the age of 15.  I became a Christian after reading a book called How to Be Born Again by Billy Graham. I know today that Billy Graham was a Mason and that he really didn't write that book himself, but it was written by what they term "a ghost writer"  by the name of  Mel White who became a homosexual. Despite that I credit the actual Scripture in the book for leading me to Christ, not the guy who wrote the book or Billy Graham himself.  The Bible says that even if the gospel is preached from good motives or bad, Christ is still preached. Philippians 1:8 "What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice."

Prior to my conversion I never met a Christian personally. The only exposure I had to anything remotely spiritual was watching the TV show called "In Search Of"  by Leonard Nimoy with my uncle Joe every Sunday night when he came to visit my mother. Strangely, my Uncle Joe even kind of looked like Leonard Nimoy. The show was all about the paranormal and it was very creepy. Generally it was about UFO's, the Bermuda Triangle, Atlantis and the paranormal.

As a brand new Christian I felt that I should start going to church. My mother wouldn't let me go to any other church than a Catholic one because she came from a Catholic background although she didn't really practice it. I was then invited by a classmate to a Catholic Youth Group.  Prior to this, because I had read my Bible and the Holy Spirit was my teacher through God's Word, I was in for a big surprise. Later when I went to a Catholic Youth Retreat I got the shock of my young life.

I saw a bunch of teenagers lined up to go into a small room and asked them what was going on.  They said they were all lined up to go into Confession.  I asked, "What's that?"  So then before I knew it my peers opened the door and told me to go in.  I walked in and saw a priest sitting in a chair and was told to sit down across from him.  All I knew about Confession was what I saw in the movies.  I thought there was supposed to be a barrier between us, but here I was face to face with this chubby priest who was wearing horned rimmed dark glasses, which was the style back then.  He asked me what sins I had to confess.

So I told him that I didn't have any sins to confess.  He was pretty shocked by that answer and said, "Surely you must have sinned, everyone has sinned."

I said, "Yes, I've sinned, but I already confessed my sins to God, so why should I have to confess them to you?"  Then I said, "The Bible says that there is only one Mediator between God and man and that is Christ Jesus." 1 Timothy 2:5

He suddenly got so angry!  I was pretty surprised.  His face turned red and he accused me of being a "Fundamentalist".  I didn't even know what that term meant at the time.  I kind of figured out that it must mean someone who believes the Bible is true after he continued speaking, or yelling rather... He said, "The Bible is not true!  The story of creation isn't true, the theory of Evolution is true."

So I told him, "There's a lot of credible Creation Scientists that say the account of creation is true, you should really look into it." Then he started actually sweating and I saw his glasses slide down his nose.

He pushed his glasses up on his face and said angrily, "The Bible can't be true because if it is then Purgatory isn't true, and that means a lot of people are going to hell!" Then he slammed the Bible on the table nearby and told me to get on my knees and say, "three hail Mary's right now!"

Then I looked at him and said, "The Bible says you aren't supposed to pray to Saints."

Then he shouted, "See the door, GET OUT!"

As a teenager I was very shocked at this man's response to me.  I was really sincere.  I wasn't trying to give him a hard time.  I was just telling him what the Bible said.  I was pretty shocked that the priests I had met didn't even believe the Bible.  I remember crying in my bunk that night later on saying to God, "God, how can this many people be so deceived as to reject your Word?"  It was quite a shock to me because I had previously thought that any Christian church that claimed to adhere to the Bible actually believed what it said.  I soon found out, that was not the case!

No one else in my family was Born Again, so I didn't know much at the time about God or the Bible and was eager to find things out.  Then one day I discovered a Christian bookstore that sold Chick Tracts. Chick Tracts were a smorgasbord of information!  Whistleblowers from Satan's camp shared with Jack Chick some pretty revealing information. People such as John Todd and Elaine Moses, who were both former witches spilled the beans on Satan's plans.  (Click on their names for more information about them that I have uploaded to Youtube).

At first I thought Mystery Babylon was Vatican Rome because in my early Christian life I came across Alexander Hislop's book called "The Two Babylons" which showed me that all of the aberrant teachings of the Catholic Church were actually from Babylon.  This was way back when no one had home computers back in the 1980's.  I had a curious mind and wanted to have understanding so I devoured any information I came across.

I also learned about what was wrong with the New Age by reading Constance Cumbey's book that exposed it's agenda. Her book was called, "The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow".  She exposed Lucius Trust, the United Nations, Alice Bailey, and that whole ball of wax.

Then I read about the Jesuits from yet other expose' books that Jack Chick sold, so this gave me a good head start on what they call "Conspiracy" today.

Then later on in my teens I read a book by David Wilkerson called, "The Vision".  Wilkerson took the position that America was Mystery Babylon. He predicted how things in the USA would plummet morally over time. He talked extensively about how the homosexual agenda would advance and about how ungodly everything would be in every sector of society.  Then I saw over the years that absolutely everything he said in that book came to pass, all of it!  He talked about how financial decline would start in Venezuela.  That has already happened, and it's continuing.  He also said that New York City would be destroyed by fire one day.  He proclaimed that Jeremiah Chapter 51 of the Bible applies to America.  That chapter does mention the term, "Daughter of Babylon" in the text.

I then realized Babylon can mean more than just one place, so in my mind, I just added America to the list.  I figured Vatican Rome (Catholicism), was religiously Mystery Babylon, and America who was the war machine, combined with New York City, was the Financial or Economic Mystery Babylon.  I just figured Mystery Babylon had many components.  I didn't want to have tunnel vision about it.

Strangely, when I was wondering if America was Mystery Babylon I thought to myself, well, if it is, maybe God would have provided a clue.  I wonder if there's a Babylon New York? So then I searched and found there was a Babylon New York right next to New York City!

Then, several years later when the internet was available to me I saw that people were debating about who Mystery Babylon was.  For the first time I heard someone say that they thought Jerusalem was Mystery Babylon.  Chris White was this person.  You can see his video below.  He brought up one point I just could not dismiss. That Mystery Babylon was responsible for ALL the blood that was spilled on the earth. How could Mystery Babylon possibly be the Roman Catholic Church or America when neither existed long enough to be able to fit that description?

Revelation 18:24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

Cross reference

Matthew Ch. 23: And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth...

Yet there is other criteria of Mystery Babylon that only the United States could fit. It is a puzzle many are trying to figure out.  I have noticed anytime I bring up the Jewish contribution to Mystery Babylon that those who insist that the Jesuits are behind everything are very dismissive and don't want to acknowledge the part Judaism plays. Why does it have to be one entity or the other?  Mystery Babylon is a cage for every unclean bird!  But the question remains, who will be that great City that burns in the end while the world watches in amazement?
